then what
mbr2gpt /validate/allowfullos
done thatr
show output
u didn't type correctly
i copy and pasted it
diskpart
list disk
show me
list vol
sel vol 5
detail vol
exit
mbr2gpt /validate /disk:2 /allowfullos
a few questions
do u have csm enabled?
urm im not sure
do u have any important data on disk 2 right now?
and do u mind reinstalling windows that will wipe everything on ur disk 2
the system disk, aka C:
a little bit but i could probably do it
could move a few things to E or D
yeah sure
backup them
just so you know im on a custom windows and my computer is on legacy mode
and last time i tried to go into anything other than this it messed up
which custom windows u are using
revision
becuz ur disk is on mbr
windows only allow u to boot gpt with uefi
yeah i know i want to do that but im not sure i can
u have an usb drive right?
ye
if u do, i can guide u
revi is just a playbook
it works well with val too
oh nice
also consider atlas π
i'll try anything that's good rn
i just want to play val ngl lmao
do u have windows image on ur usb right now
yeah revi
the revi iso?
ye
ughm
should be fine
boot into that usb
advanced mode
and stop at the partition selection screen
shift+f10
like ur going to install it
?
yes
ill wipe everything on ur disk 2
and convert it to gpt
were gonna have to do this tomorrow getting late so tierd
sure
didnt know we had to do all this
but yeah hopefully it works
ngl what if it does all this and my computer dosn't boot?
u need to switch to uefi mode after this
so windows allow u to boot
and u can finally use secure boot
in this cmd window,
after its done, then u can close the window and click on refresh, select ur 465gb disk there, then install
after its done, switch to uefi mode
yeah ill go over it again a little tomorrow
i dont want to mess it up
k
yo, so this wont mess up my pc ?
no
just backup everything thats important to u
thats easy since u got 2 more disks
what's best way to do it
backup?
yeahh
just copy them to another volume
volume thats not on ur disk 2
disk 2 = c?
?
yes
u can see the screenshots u sent earlier
ur disk 2 only has one partition which is ur C:
so iv copied most stuff now so c drive is going to be wiped right
i have to copy and paste this?
yes
if u've done, boot into ur installation usb
yea follow that
most likely wont change
even it did, the only thing will be changed is ur disk order
if it wipes my c which is my windows how can i boot up still? does it only format not gets rid of windows?
u wipe that during windows installation
then u install
so u reinstall windows after
if u have done everything, just boot into ur usb
and follow that
havent done anything yet gonna boot into usb now
i mean if u done backing up everything
lets start the reinstallation
Yeah I have
I have csm enabled btw u asked yesterday
ignore first
disable it later
So shall I boot into usb
yes
Iβm at windows setup now where ur gonna install windows
select advanced
at the volume selection page
shift+f10, and do those commands
I donβt see advanced
load drive, refresh , format , new . Extend thatβs it
and delete
u are alr on it then
shift+f10 now
Okay
Now
Now what
After doing detail disk do I need to select a volume
no
show me if u are unsure
list disk
all these 3 volumes will also be wiped
proceed?
okay if it doesnβt mess up windows
now continue
the commands
Okay itβs formatting now but also if I install windows again it wonβt put me on legacy mode?
Like back to what it was before
u need to change ur bios mode to uefi mode after the installation
I donβt need to install windows?
u are doing it right now?
Oh thatβs what this is doing
also show list disk after the formation is done
on the cmd
Itβs doing this rn
Is this using internet doing this btw
no
okay cool
Okay thats done now
u can close that now
refresh, and select ur 465gb disk
So install windows on the 465gb disk?
Bruh
Do I have to boot into uefi first or?
yes
exit the installation
go to ur bios
and switch to uefi
also turn off csm, and turn on secure boot and tpm
Is my uefi mode called amd CPU ftpm
ftpm is ur tpm
enable it
then go to trusted computing
Ye
secure device support is enabled
?
is there something related to boot
show me
not in peripherals
the tabs on top
yeah that one
Ye now what
restart and boot into bios again
enter the secure boot menu
can u see it says active?
Ye itβs enabled now secure boot
k
did u find anything that says legacy/uefi
change it to uefi
and boot into ur installation usb again and continue the installation
I donβt see anything to do with uefi
whats ur motherboard again
gigabyte b450m?
Yeah
prob already on uefi
lets continue the installation
Okay
So save these settings and go into the installation again?
yes
I get thrown back into the bios again
when u tried to entry the installation media?
Yeah
u prob have it on mbr
enable csm
and send pic
change storage boot option control
To UEFI?
and do I need csm support on still
yes
u need that to finish the installation first
wym before what?
shouldve make ur usb in gpt mode and switch to uefi first tho
just follow
how can I make it into gpt mode
oky it dm now though right ?
u remember when using rufus or ventoy?
u do it that time
but not now
Okay shall I save these settings and try install?
yes
It went back into bios itβs not saving
saving what
The settings that we saved
it disables csm again
do it again
Nope back in bios
also stop using that revi iso, if u want, use stock window iso and the playbook
change storage boot control option to legacy only
also do u have another pc
kind off maybe use a laptop but itβs so slow and it went straight back into bios
by any chance, u may want to have that usb in gpt
ππ
thereβs no way around it ?
that laptop
my mistake, didnt make sure u have that usb in gpt
also come dm
Get a new pc
solved
bro said get a new pc π
