Bazzite is based on Fedora Kinoite (KDE) and Silverblue (GNOME) which use rpm-ostree for package management. Fedora Workstation uses dnf. Generally speaking, I would recommend avoiding layering packages with rpm-ostree unless you absolutely need to and use Flatpaks, AppImages, Nix, Brew, and Distrobox for installing things instead
thank you for letting know . i am just wanting to poke around . i am going to be nuking this distro as i am looking for the best OS to move to especially for NVIDIA GPU would you have any suggestions i have an nvida RTX A2000 gpu in my laptop
you might like nobara, another gaming focus fedora distro but not immutable
We have NVIDIA images if you're interested. Otherwise, Nobara is a great choice
I am using the nvidia build but the GPU not getting detected right it works it's iffy if that makes sense like I can't see any info about it or even see it in about system but it does work when play games I think might be the type of graphics not the driver
