Trouble starting expo app in create-t3-turbo

Hi all, I created a monorepo using create-t3-turbo and I am having trouble launching the Expo app from the readme. I have been trying to fix this error for a couple days and I was wondering if anyone has come across this before:

error: node_modules/expo/AppEntry.js: Missing package "metro-react-native-babel-transformer" in the project. This usually means `react-native` is not installed. Please verify that dependencies in package.json include "react-native" and run `yarn` or `npm install`.
