question regarding screen refresh rate
hello, i've been going to net cafes for the past couple of months solely for the fact that they have the good 144hz displays that i've been looking for. while i do have a good computer at home, my monitor quite literally sucks, i am stuck with 60hz only. i have noticed that there is a huge difference in my aim, my sens feels a lot slower on the 60hz display, and it gets clunky and slow, and unresponsive at times as opposed to the 144hz display, despite me sticking to the same sensitivity and dpi. i can barely frag out in deathmatches where i usually get 25-30 kills when i use the better monitor. same goes for the matches themselves.
i ordered a new 165hz monitor today alongside the exact same mouse that they have at the computer cafe that i go to hoping that it's gonna fix the problem. is it all just a placebo effect or does it actually affect my aim? did i waste my money going for the new monitor?

60 to 165 feels like night and day
60 has a lot more input lag than 100 and up
