It's all monochrome and I use the black and white to help with heavy highlights and heavy shadows, but I wouldn't consider it finished either.
Otherwise there's be lineart and coloring
but it at least is an "above average sketch" then :valRagey:

A sketch is a rough drawing, some sketches can be detailed like mine and some can be less detailed, but a sketch is a classification of a drawing
Because for them it is finished. They worked hard to render it as is, it's unfair to compare our works because we're on two entirely different skill levels.

This wouldn’t be the correct definition because some sketches use color (to help get the base + idea) and some finished images are completely grayscale

dimwits the word sketch mean wireframe in design, wireframe is compilation of lines in respect to make out a finished product. i dont see lines there. go back and study the meaning of art
by defenition a skecth is "a rough drawing". a skecth can be used as a wireframe, and commonly is, but it doesn't have to be, either. sometimes, some people do sketches for practice (ever heard of the phrase "practice sketch"?)
you also do not know what a finished render of my piece would look like, so you cannot determine what is a sketch of mine or not based on a single piece ive shown you
if you were to look and compare it to my other pieces, theyre much clearner, and intentionally. this is rough, but because i dont want to take the time to render it and finish it
its unfinished and is what i would use as a baseline if i were to fully render it
you cant tell me this "isnt a sketch" when you havent seen my full renders.
