Advantages of Arduino IDE 2.xx compared to Arduino IDE 1.8.19
Hi All,
Currently, I create my projects using Arduino IDE 1.8.19, with the boards ranging from Arduino Nano to ESP32. I haven't encountered any issues; everything is going smoothly.
Now there's Arduino IDE 2.xx that has been released for some time, and I wonder if there's a real advantage in switching to this version.
That's why I would like to hear the opinions of those who have been through this! (advantages, disadvantages, additional or, on the contrary, disappeared features, etc...)
Thank you in advance for your feedback

For me i still love version 18. Though v2 is great. But most times i encounter some bugs in it.
V2 is still under development though lets see how it goes
Thanks @Joseph Ogbonna & Yeah, you're right.
I upgraded to 2.xx some time ago.
Possible benefits:
*The auto-complete function is really nice.
*It's generally easier to select the board/port.
*Many libraries and boards you can just search/install in the IDE.
*Examples are still there in 2.xx
*Dark mode
*Guessing more development into the future
Maybe some of these are available in 1.xx, not sure.
Possible downsides:
*Slower to open each individual sketch
*Perhaps compatibility in some cases, though rather rare it seems.
Also, if you're going to upgrade, you might consider something like VSCode/Platoformio.
IMO 2.xx is well worth the upgrade.
Thank you @JeremyCook Yes, I'll consider it
Considering the price of $0 it's at least worth a try!
