proper cloth short flare out too much

My shirts from proper cloth fit great but when worn untucked the bottom flairs out too much and looks a little odd. It seems like this could be improved by widening the midsection width but this automatically widens the waist. It doesnt seem like you can adjust the waist as that is done automatically. Anyone had this issue or can offer suggestions? Adding the shirt dimensions for reference.
