it could be if your valorant is on windowed mode and not fullscreen or windowed fullscreen
windowed makes my game freeze sometimes
so try to switch to windowed full or full

try to see if your resolution on your pc and valorant are the same

The mouse cursor can still move but nothing else responds
go to your dekstop
right click val shortcut
go to properties
go to compatibility
make sure "disable fullscreen optimisations" is turned on
this fixed it for me
