I recommend getting business insurance whether or not your company wants it

Just get the biz insurance once u have contract
No need to do ahead of time. Insurance is pretty instant

i think both answers are correct at different stages of your c2c venture
especially as you start having concurrent contracts

?
Not following how being at different stage or having concurrent contracts makes different

because your LLC is an entity that may have multiple recurring contracts. it's easier and better for having persistent coverage to have some umbrella insurance policy that you can eventually pay higher coverage for in case you run into another c2c contract that needs it
if you're Just starting out, sure you can wait til the offer comes in
but lets say you plan on getting one in january, one in march, one in september, might as well just get coverage for the average anyways
or if you plan on developing things for automation outside of your contracts and plan to sell them.. etc
lots of different cases as the llc matures

Why would I want to pay higher premium? I thought I'd want to save money on paying for insurance

let's say J3 is Kforce and requires a $1m general liability
few months later you joined home depot which also requires $1m GL
but then a few months later you joined teksystems and they need $2m General liability
you adjust your insurance to move up to $2m

Oh. Isn't the term for the $1m and $2m number coverage and not premium?
