When reloading a character (specifically through roblox), didn't the death count against your stats?

Like resetting your character?
Yeah, only if another player kills you, the kills count.
So you’re asking if you reset your character, would it still count as a kill count in your stats?
I know it will count, but can you remove it so that the meter only counts for killing another player?
