When will minimalism no longer be as popular?

I'm just getting into thinking about my wardrobe more, and I'm going for a minimalist style.. but it makes me wonder if minimalism is just going to fade away sometime soon, and all my efforts in acquiring pieces will be for naught. When is the end to minimalism's popularity? What's next? (or maybe it's already not popular, and I'm just behind the times..)

Yeah, wear what you like. Minimalism is probably about due in all areas to fade, fashion not excluded, but there's no reason not to stick with it if your pieces are good quality and you like them. That said, even the most perfectly curated wardrobe will eventually cease reflecting its owner, because human beings & tastes aren't stationary. welcome 2 fashion basically

you can see stuff about maximalism bubbling up and then the whole 90s/y2k but honestly this stuff is hard to predict what sticks etc so you are best just wearing what you like

I don't think anyone into fashion wears the same thing they did when they got into it. Cycling is part of the hobby Minimalism just means wearing nice basics, so if you end up liking a different style you'll still need/wear your basics. I think it's a great style to start with

Minimalism is a springboard for getting into other styles. Your wardrobe doesn't get replaced, you just build on top of it.
