Generate text-only version of website using workers?
My father has serious visual difficulties and wants to stay up to date with news. Most news sites have lots of complex js, images and ads that consufe him. How difficult would be to filter all that with a worker?

Maybe use something like Reader View? Most news sites support it
You could theoretically try to parse each site yourself, but you may run into issues with deciding what is actually content/what is other stuff
