EC2 Server Mishaps

I have an EC2 server that I am setting up with nginx to eventually redirect my node server for port 8080. But Nginx with cloudflare is acting strange. If I disable Cloudflare protection, I get the expected result (image a), but as soon as I reenable it, I instantly can only get the Amazon Linux Default page (image b)? (I have killed httpd though so it makes no sense).
