No input received from 8bitdo Pro 2 connected via bluetooth

The same controller seems to work fine wired. I can successfully pair and connect the device but no input goes through. Adding myself to the input group doesn't help either.

Which input mode on the controller are you using to connect?
Xinput mode
What are you trying to use it in?
Have tried a number of different games and emulators, same deal everywhere
might be similar to the issue i had with some xinput bluetooth devices recently.
try run
ujust use-stock-gamepads and reboot and then see if that helpsTry other input modes like switch mode to see if that can provoke a change in behavior
If the above doesn’t work
Stock game pads definitely changes something. Now input works for ~10 seconds after connecting, then the controller disconnects and reconnects, after which input no longer goes through :s
Back on ublue gamepads now, Xinput and Apple modes produce no input, Dinput and Switch modes seem to work
I'd really rather have Xinput working though, because I have a big library and it has the best compatibility with more temperamental games
But I can probably use Dinput until whatever problem is causing this gets fixed..
