Is this suit good enough for a school annual function [18M]?
I'm 6 feet tall. Ordered a readymade suit since there was no time to get one tailored for about 100 dollars.
Being a teen I know absolutely nothing about suits and formal fashion. I have decided to buy a black tie just like the one the model is wearing. But isn't the tie too shiny? And will any white formal shirt work? I have a couple.
I think the colour of the suit is dark grey. Additional tips welcomed too ofcourse.

That tie looks fine and I wouldn't sweat it
Silk and polyester ties are always a little glossy
If you're worried about it, you could look at one made of wool or cotton
Yah any white formal shirt will work
If you want to go crazy, you can try and find a nicer suit at a thrift shop that fits you though the suit you linked is good enough for a school annual function
