Macbook Broadcom wifi disappeared/unloaded
Hello,
After install on my Intel Macbook Wifi was working, but seemed to just drop randomly after downloading a new splash page. It is a Broadcom BCM43xx 1.0 according to the Apple System Information. Is there a way to get the device to reinstall? I have tried running through the command found in the Arch Wiki (https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/MacBookPro11,x#Internet). but no joy. Any further ideas, or if there is something that I'm missing?
Thanks

yeah, for some reason
broadcom-wl-dkms
is not included
and it can't be installed
you can try building your own ISO with itBuilding an ISO
Building an ISO can be done to include different desktops, kernels, and packages.
ok so what is it using initally? It works in the Live installer and the first time I'm running it. but after a reboot it is stops, and the system installer says that package is already up to date
Is there a way I can find out what it is is using in the Installer environment? I'm going to pick at it later tonight, so I might find this one out myself initialy
For wifi, the default kernel drivers
Thanks, according to kinfocenter it was using wl.

And in a another turn, I switched to the Deepin Desktop and, the wifi networks came up but the notifications would not show, so I could not join or see why.
deepin on arch is broken
not our problem
we don't recommend using deepin
Thanks again, the final part is that the wl drivers will not load, with the error cannot allocate memory, And it seems that and nvidia_uvm driver has the same problem. if all that is known, I'll leave it.

But a side question when you mentioned create my on build, is that for a fresh install or to build on top of a working Arch install?
Build your own ISO
you can do so from any Linux distro, preferably something arch baded
