I started playing literally today and umm needs tips (i guess)
So uhh I started playing Valorant just today and I played through the tutorials and spent some time in practice. I then played 2 unrated games, both of which I lost. Soo well, I wanna improve and have no idea how (like I haven't even won a single match) and umm that's what to ask you guys:
How do I improve?
What are some things I should keep in mind?
What are terminologies/slang?
Tips and tricks I should know?
And some other stuff I should know as a beginner. All help you guys give is much appreciated and thanks for reading this and helping.

1) experience overall; aim: aimlab / the range; watch pro gameplay; watch guides: Charlatan etc...
2) remember from past experiences; the more agents u try the more u'll get used to fighting againts them; communication with ur team is essential;
3) if its your first fps: learn callouts; some calls like: "dinked" which refers to an headshot hit whose dmg is not specified; "stack": as playing all one site; eco, fake defuse, flick etc
4) not really, you'll learn them on the way, but it's always good to look up some videos online.
These are some terminologies:

Thanks alot for helping me out! I'll try to improve on all of the stuff you mentioned (starting with my aims and watching guides and then moving on) and thanks for the youtube vids and the 'dictionary' of terminologies. Much appreciated!
Im down to play with ya and give you some tips as you play. For now as the other guy said, right now just focus on playing the game. You'll naturally get better with experience through basic mechanic improvement, improving basic game sense, etc. One you've noticed you've kinda hit a road block will be where you start focusing on improvement your weakest points. One really good YouTube I think for this kinda stuff is WooHooJin if you wanna check him out.
800 DPI .2-.4 sens seems extremely slow ð€
it is pretty much the average of most valorant players
i might even include up to .5 but after that is getting a little too high to be consistent
You may be mixing up DPI and EDPI
well i mean its still very average for dpi and sens as well
most pros play between 0.2 and 0.5 800 dpi
.2 sens with 800 DPI is 160 eDPI which is very slow. This would make flicking very difficult and more than likely require much more mouse space than a lot of people have. I run about .15 sense with a 2100 DPI which is 315 eDPI, usually midrange to what a lot of people use. Voltaic goes into length all about aiming, and I recommend checking it out, but .2 is treading too-slow territory I would think
With that being said, .3 is alriiight, still slow but more manageable
(If you're on 800 dpi)

This is also a pretty good video giving good sens recommendations and great aim routines for good and bad players alike
yeah some pros play that low so thats why I included it, but I appreciate the recommendation
ðð
250-300 edpi
To each their own, I'm just saying it's not optimal. With that sense, it's more difficult to make quick adjustment (i.e you're getting shot 180° behind you and need to quickly turn around).
However .344 is also a pretty big difference in sensitivity than .2
.3 .4 800 is not low
Hell even .25 is still a 40 eDPI jump from .2
.2 800 = 160 eDPI vs .3 800 = 240 eDPI
Quite a big difference, you guys are using big ranges here ð
u urself said .2-.4 seems low
ð
I'm saying the range is low, and even said .3 is manageable
Read, brother
didnt u just say the range is big
I even linked a video that mentions a good eDPI range to shoot for
ð
Yes, what are you not understanding?
ya im telling u .3 .4 is not low
there is no misunderstanding
And I also didn't say it was too low?
I said .3 is alright and is manageable, but probably not optimal for the average person
u literally said it was extremely low
ð
I literally didn't, and if you need me to show you the exact message I will
Since apparently you're illiterate
wym u didnt
i replied 2 the message
Literally right here
Right after my main message
Did you miss that bud?
wat does that have to do with anything
You're saying I was saying .3 - .4 is slow
Too slow*
yea u did say that did u not
Is English your second language
mo
no
Or are you just slow
idk im not .3 or .4
ð
I said .3 was slow, but manageable and varies person to person. I was saying the range the person gave (.2-.4) ranges on the very slow side
yea and i said it wasnt
I as a diamond player have found 315 to be a comfortable eDPI but I also understand not everyone is the same. People are different mechanically, play the game differently, play on different setups, etc
ok cool
I also gave recommendations for aim routines and eDPI ranges but you scoot your way in here and just go "Hurr durr .3 .4 isn't slow ð€€" like what are you trying to accomplish ð
telling u that it isnt slow
Dawg your skull is THICK
Ofc! It could fs work, just depends on the person
sorry u just got pressed so easily it was funny
0.3-0.4 range is not low tho
I was getting frustrated with your inability to comprehend English, you were arguing with something that wasn't said ð
That's also not what the range was anyways, so
and what was i arguing with that wasnt said
ya but thats in ur range
Sure, but a -10 to 10 may be a low range. However a 0 to 10 range wouldn't be. Although still being in that range
ok but 0.4 falls in ur range of slow
and i said it didnt
It doesnt?
.4 is literally higher than what I play at
do u have bad memory
Are you doing this on purpose
Like are you being dumb on purpose
prolly
Okay
answer the question first tho
Hm?
I have no recollection of a question ever being asked. As a matter of fact, I don't even know what a "question is" I think I am beginning to forget how hablar ingles. ¡¿Qué hace?!
