What can I do to avoid that moldy/mothy smell on denim/cloths in the closet?
Is ther there some type of air freshener or simply leave closet door open for the closet to breath?

I believe there are closet air fresheners but honestly I'm wondering about your closet. You got any cedar balls or anything in there for moths? Is it actually mildewy? Anything to keep it dry in there eg a moisture absorber? Do you just need a new closet
Bc idk I got my wardrobe off the side of the road and I can't say I have this problem it's built in in which case 🫡 yeah the above options
my house isn't insulated so my closets always get a ton of moisture. Aside from leaving your door open to air it out you can get a lil dehumidifier for in the closet, or those arm and hammer moisture absorber things https://www.amazon.com/Arm-Hammer-Moisture-Absorber-Eliminator/dp/B0B57MRY9N/ref=asc_df_B0B57MRY9N/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=647197125270&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7646893194664945056&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9033256&hvtargid=pla-1967203196150&th=1

also good to make sure all of your clothes are completely dried before they go into the closet
I don’t think it’s Moths or mildew. My closets are not insulted and are next to the bathroom so will need to keep on eye on that. It could be that I put the clothes back damp. I just know a couple pieces smelled like an old person does. No offense to old people. I will try air freshener and make sure the cloths are dry.
Great suggestion. It may be the clothes we’re not completely dry. Thanks
I live in a city that gets 100% humidity readings during the summer. Constantly get a lot of damp. My two recommendations are keep airflow in the room with open windows/fan for a couple of minutes a day and passive dehumidifiers like the other user posted
active dehumidifiers are OK if you don't have/can't get a full house system.
Meaco does some good portable ones (UK experience here)
