City western fit idea feedback

I have an idea for a city western fit and i'm looking for some feedback and ideas. Also need help figuring out the colors. It'd be with the items in the linked pics.

So the jeans are levi's red colletion slim straight bootcuts, and the flannel is from the uniqlo x undercover collection (i've also found black and brown versions). I woudn't have discovered those old collections if it wasn't for @algoresky actually. the chelsea boots are dr maartens as you can tell
i thought a fit with this theme would be a good way try a different silhouette. i'm not sure if the fit is me but i think it's a cool idea lol. it'd obviously take time to source the items in the right sizes at good prices.
in addition to the color scheme question, would you wear something over the flannel and if so what would it be?
