emergency: where to buy dress loafers?
I have a wedding to attend in 5 hours and I need a new dress shoes because my old ones from my baby years are completely scuffed and nasty. I need a <$200 black dress loafer that I can pick up fast.

Are you close to a mall?
Yes
I'm in Houston
yeah, i recommend the mall. most outlets will have <$100 loafers even. because of time constraint, i wouldn't worry too much. go to something like Kohl's, find something that's minimal, fits, call it a day. don't put too much time into thinking about material/construction/etc. return them at some point if you don't scuff them too much
after the wedding, then shop for a proper loafer
or dress shoe
Mall will be your best bet. DSW might be an option as well. You just need a pair that fits and is minimal as this is a quick purchase.
oh and get an unlined loafer ideally
tend to feel nicer from the box without wearing in
Oh that is a good idea. I didn't think about just returning them after.
Nordstrom rack too

it gets the job done
Holy shit those are horrible LOL
Go for the left one
Left pair if you haven't bought a pair yet.
Yeah, after I got over the sick feeling in my stomach I went with the left. Thanks y'all.
I will channel this experience towards my commitment to a good pair of loafers this coming black friday
I have a horrible pair of derbies like that from years ago sitting somewhere that I'm not sure what to do with lol
selling or donating just seems cruel

These are kinda funny
horrible to walk in from what I remember
the soles are so hard
who even invented square toed dress shoes?
