Faded lines on chinos after ironing
Just finished ironing my chinos and it's left some odd looking lines in the fabric. At first I thought maybe I had ironed creases onto the back so I did both sides but the lines persisted. Does anyone know what this is/how to get rid of it?

Not caused by ironing, i think.
It’s probably marbling, which happens with jeans and other stiff fabrics in the wash. The pants get squashed up in the machine and then the fold lines smack into the sides of the machine repeatedly, knocking off the dye along the crease.
Bad news is it’s irreversible. Good news is the effect will fade with time, and, like a pimple, it will look much worse to you than anyone else. Turn your pants inside out next time.

Ah okay. Thanks for the advice
You can also avoid this by running the cycle with a lower spin speed if your machine allows it. But as above still with them inside out
or handwash and line dry
