Block Datacenter IPs
Hi, I wanted to prevent users from logging into my website with VPN. For that I thought it would be a good idea to block datacenter Ip adresses. Is there a way to do this?

you could use external apis that shows how ips are being used, but normally there's no difference between datacenter and residential ips, other than those api companies marking them up.
i.e. my ip is recognized as business, and no vpn / hosting is configured. You could use ipinfo.io's api or any other similar apis
hmm. then not... But i thought you could find that out via the ISP?
You could, that could be also problematic. See, AS9318 and AS4766 uses same ASN for their datacenter and residential connection. If you block those 2 ASN for having datacenter IP, you'd be blocking 60% of South korea's connection.
There are many cases for this, and unless you have certain reason to block those out, I'd rather recommend banning individual ips that are marked for bad actions.
Blocking south korea ist not bad
💀U just said that to South Korean
But why?
XD
One of my friends lives there. Thats why
I want to annoy him that he cant use the website XD
But back to the question. So i can't just block them. But maybe the ASN of chinanet or tubehosting...
Yeah you could block the asns with only datacenter subnets
So you could filter out majority of them
Like M247 or Datapacket, VPN provider’s favourite hosting platform
Ok. Umm where can I best find the subnets?
