Neither are worth the money to be honest. Check out casio, timex, seiko, tissot
any designer brand watches are essentially junk
designer watches (excluding hermes and louis vuitton) are marked up a ton. @ian mentioned some good brands but some other ones in your price range are citizen, hamilton, orient and glycine.
I also would say that a stainless steel case is better than a PVD black case 100% of the time. I would suggest you look up some beginner watch guides by Teddy Baldassarre or Just one more watch on youtube before you make a purchase you regret
