overcoat length question
hi, i contacted the seller about the length of this coat because it looks quite small, he claims it’s 42 and 1/2 inches long, do you think he’s just confused because it’s a size 42 coat?

he said the length from the top of the collar to the bottom hem is 42 and 1/2 so id image it would it be hard to be confused
it just looks so tiny
a standard sized door would be about 6 foot 6, this looks easily bigger than a half the length of the door, so thats 39" minimum, ergo a measurement of 42" sounds about right to me...
if i’m 6’ would that around my knees?
Look where the coat ends compared to where the sleeves end and that looks about right as well
Take a suit jacket, sport coat, or blazer and measure the collar to the hem, write that number down, then put the jacket on. Hang your tape measure such that you can visualize where a 42" length hem would fall on your body. There's your answer
FWIW I'm 6'2 and I've got a 50" length overcoat that hits mid calf and a 42.5" length overcoat that hits at the knee
Hey I'm stoked to be wrong having guessed 35-36"
Measure the door
Use that as a general frame of reference
