Corduroy Pants Brands
Hi! What are some good corduroy pants brands? I'd prefer things I can look at and try on in Ontario/Michigan but I'm open to anything. I'd also love any comments on quality/experiences with the listed brands. Here's a list. I'll update it as any new ones are posted:
affordable: Old Navy, Gap, Uniqlo,
expensive!: ralph lauren, LL bean, brooks brothers, Spier & MacKay,
not in Ontario/Canada: Cordings, Nudie Jeans

Vintage Polo Ralph Lauren is great for corduroy and usually quite affordable
I'm also pretty happy with the Dockers I have
Nudie Jeans makes some good cords, EU-based brand but excellent stuff. I also second the vintage option
Spier & MacKay have a store in Mississauga (assuming you mean the province in Canada and not the city in California); I believe you need to make an appt. I have a pair and they are pretty good. Not the best but good for the price.
thanks for help people
Is there a reason to get vintage PRL corduroys rather than new apart from cost?
More sustainable, often better quality, and period designs if that's your thing. Vintage cords tend to have wider wales than new pairs, which are often needlecord
Better materials, better cut (new ones are mostly slim fit and contain elastic, older ones are generally pure cotton and straight or wide fit)
And the price difference is very big
Like you can get second hand PRL pants for less than 1/10 of the retail price of new ones
ok sweet ill keep an eye out
