is there a big difference between the size m and L of this coat
so I am interested in a coat ive been eyeing it for ages and its on sale but the size large is out of stock and the medium is available ive asked the brand for measurements and there does not seem to be huge difference between sizing
size medium measurements:
Length 101cm
Shoulders 44cm
Chest 53cm
Sleeves 65cm
size Large measurments:
Length 102cm
Shoulders 45cm
Chest 55cm
Sleeves 68cm
so as you can see there is not a huge difference but I was thinking could the cut of the coat make the small difference in measurements make a greater impact on the sizing then I would think???
could I maybe take it to the tailor and get the tailor to make the chest area larger by 2cm and shoulder area by 1cm or is that not possible???

it's a lot more difficult to make a piece larger than it is to make it smaller
yeah thats true do you think theres a huge difference in measurements too? because to me it doesnt seem like it or could the cut influence how much of a difference there is
i think it might not look like much just looking at the measurements written down but it could be surprising how big all the little differences compound into
it does look surprisingly similar, but also like
the difference between 5'8 and 5'9 is 2 centimetres
I am 5'8"
a centimetre here and there can make a bit of difference is what i mean
yh I get that there seems to be a 1" diff for the chest

it's difficult to know without trying on
like, i wouldnt think itd be too ill-fitting considering how close the measurements are on paper but
i could also be very wrong

yeah. i mean if you're 5'8 then id think the medium would fit well too? im a just a tad taller, and i usually buy either medium or small
for their shirts a large fits well tbh
think im like 5'8.5 - 5'9? havent measured in a long time. but then again just bc we're similar heights we could have different length torso's and chest widths

different brands have different sizings
i guess only other piece of advice i have is only buy something if you're 100% sure about it. especially if it costs a bit.
