Looking for a casual unstructured sportcoat or chore coat?
I'm looking for an unstructured sportcoat or chore coat for the office. Preferably a dark gray/brown/olive color. My favorite option so far is the felted wool chore coat from Buck Mason (https://www.buckmason.com/products/marled-santa-fe-dust-felted-chore-coat), but it seems a little out of my price range. I'm looking for something under $100 but would go up to $150. Would this Uniqlo jacket fit the bill or would it read too much like a suit jacket? https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E449621-000/00?colorDisplayCode=08&sizeDisplayCode=003
I'm basically looking for a jacket that I can wear to the office that looks similar to a blazer but can be worn more casually.

Finding one for $100 is probably going to be tricky.

Also, when I tried the Buck Mason one, it was really underwhelming and the collar would not stay flipped down.

I got a decent unstructured unlined one from uniqlo
Not a blazer but my linen-cotton navy shacket from Uniqlo was styled with an ocbd (was $40 on sale)

I think its just cotton, doesn’t feel like a blend
That's nice. I shy away from their casual blazers because they're typically some sort of polyester

I also have a Uniqlo x EG shawl collar fleece cardigan jacket (cost me $65 new with tags). You can find a few being sold secondhand

Lastly, I have a navy tropical wood EG bedford but you'd have to get lucky to find it in your price range anywhere (I did)
Some other options I've noticed: Wallace & Barnes made wool shawl cardigan jackets that you can find on eBay. They look rlly nice

I would think resell shops in major cities would be your best bet for a great deal (like the one I went to). My Bedford is navy tropical wool so it's a perfect summer layer for the office btw! It was only $44 with the tags (because they miscategorized it as a shirt, they had an other one in a winter weight tweed for $80)
Tons and tons of unstructured sport coats on ebay under $100. Are you looking for something for cooler or warmer months? How casual?
