Cannot index existing library
I'm trying to install Immich with Portainer on my server.
It's not scanning my images directory. I gave it an UPLOAD_LOCATION to the Photos dir, which containers nested folders which eventually have all my images. I saw that it made a library folder within Photos, but even after symlinking the images folders in the adjacent directory to the library directory, it didn't scan anything. How do I fix this? Here's the structure: /..../Photos/'Google Photos' /..../Photos/InstantUpload /..../Photos/library <=== this dir was made by Immich I tried putting symlinks to those two in library; that didn't work Thanks!

That's not how immich works, you might want to have a look at the docs
Sorry? What I'm reading on there is that it can access and index external libraries of photos

Correct, but you will have to setup the additional steps which can be found at the bottom of the page
the default library is used for files that are uploaded to Immich from the mobile app/web or the CLI tool
And the default library isn't tracked by the library-tracking mechanism for existing gallery
