bazzite on steam deck, desktop mode is black screen
title says it all, been using bazzite for about a month now and it does this every time and im forced to restart my steam deck and try reopen desktop at least 3-4 times before it will actually open desktop, spent the past two hours doing this and it still hasnt gotten into desktop mode, is this a known thing or?

im still currently trying to get into desktop mode literally to just change my waydroid so it doesnt appear small on gamemode but i physically cannot get into desktop
if that's not in then I'm unsure, having logs from your DE may help
this isn't a known issue

sometimes KDE gets confused and keeps acting like the external display is connected
disabling your deck's screen
there's a file you can delete to reset it, let me find it

how would i delete this via gamemode?
nevermind just plugging into the dock and trying to launch desktop worked fine
so ill just remove it via desktop
you can use TTY with a keyboard
or use the terminal plugin for decky loader
ill keep that in mind for next time
so deleting this file should solve that issue entirely

when i launch in gamemode, its launched in the top left corner about 1/4 of the screen
should be sized to 1280x800
check what's in /etc/default/waydroid-launcher
where do i need to set the new dimensions to make it full screen? i had previous issues with waydroid and had it set to 1280x00 but it seems to not be working

I'd remove your shortcut from steam and just re-add the waydroid one in your systemill give that a shot in a moment

by add non-steam game and selecting waydroid
