What are your favorite denim and trucker jackets? Favorite brands at low medium and high price points? What do you look for in a denim or trucker jacket? I bought a Black Sign type 1 and it’s pretty damn sweet. I should take a picture of it some day.
I really like my TCB 50's jacket. The arms are cut very slim so I dont think I'd recommend it with the currently popular wide and loose aesthetic, but it works for me. And in my opinion, the tcb 50's fabric fades very elegantly with regular washing
actually I just looked and it seems they updated the cut to be slightly more cropped and more generous in the shoulders and chest, so it might be a winner now

Gorgeous fade! The varied darkness has it pair so nicely with the dark denim pants
I like this one a lot, a bit cropped and a bit slouchy, from Le mont st michel. Low price point too, about $35 I think.
I agree the fabric is wonderful. I have a pair of 50’s jeans and they fuck big time.
The Kapital boro jackets are absolutely insane, it's not really my style anymore but I love looking at them

I really like this Strike Gold type 2 I got, the denim is quite heavy and slubby. I'm looking forward to getting a bunch more wear into it and seeing how it fades
Y’all have seen it a dozen times but i love my orslow type 1. The fit is perfect, the denim is beautiful and aging nicely as well, couldn’t recommend enough

Denim is easily one of my favorite materials for clothing specifically for jackets. I have owned many brands but some of favorites are the following: Levi's - the original that most brands try and repo. The type 2 specifically is my favorite denim jkt of all time, double pocket design, cropped cut, everything about it is amazing, the fades that come strictly with decades of use. Honestly if you can afford it owning a vintage is well worth it. Visvim is also an honorable mention. The dry denim 101xx is my favorite oversized jacket I own. The denim has such an odd feel to it that makes it interesting but it does come at a crazy high cost (I think i payed around 1800ish) which you could find plenty of other great option at that price point. Full count is also great for their washes. They are probably the best (imo) at replicating washes that a true vintage levi's jacket would have and they remain pretty faithful to the OG cut.
Picture of the denim jackets I currently have with me, moved recently so my heavier denim jackets are at my other place.
I want to get a denim jacket, and I'm not sure I really have a use for it right now that isn't being occupied by my IH heavy cotton flannel, but they look so good faded
I personally am not a fan of the trucker jacket style. I prefer the chore coat look for denim jackets.
Interesting to me that no one has mentioned a type 3- I've always found other styles more interesting but I always assumed 3's were more or less the default
