Best Jeans for 25M, NYC
Hey all - trying to start dating next year so getting into fashion to improve my look.
What's the best Levi's jeans to get? All my current jeans are slim fit and I heard more baggy look is in fashion now.
(have a coupon for $30 off $100+ spend at levi's, was thinking of using that but open to other brands)

501s are the “standard” size. If you’re used to wearing slim jeans it may feel wider than what you’re used to but imo they aren’t that relaxed. 505s have larger thighs but roughly the same build. 550s are the relaxed fit that maybe the baggy look if you’re into it.
At the Levi’s store there are two main versions of the jeans, the regular kind with the cardboard brown patch at the back and the premium version with a leather patch. The regular version may not be enough to reach the deal but the premium version may. The premium version has better QC and stitching and is better quality but both kinds are perfectly fine for every day use.

I understand you have a coupon so if thats a limiting factor then totally get it and i second Charli’s advice. I would also recommend seeking out some pre-90’s 501’s too. The fit between modern and vintage ones are different and some people, myself included find the older ones to fit better. They are also pretty affordable too
501s fit a lot better after you wash them too
I was shopping for 501s yesterday, and was surprised to discover they come in at least 3 different fits: "Original", "'54", and "'93"
'54 is slimmest, '93 is widest.
