Help me choose between two designs
This is a website I just practicing on but I can't decide which one might better or both of them are not that good. They are not that different. What do you think?

First one looks clean and better with no background. * You can make the background a little darker to create a constant with foreground elements including the nav bar.
Maybe a silly idea, but why not use both, where the first one is what the user lands on, and when the user is interacting with the navbar, the black slides down so that navigating it is easier without the background image interfering.
The first one looks best, but for accessibility reason the second one is better
(the contrast of the nav's text is pretty bad against the background image)
you can have both
the first one and, on scroll, transition to have the background color change to the one on the right
and if the user has asked for high contrast, you can always have the background set, with 50-75% opacity initially
however, the 2nd one makes the image look weird and all stretched
tl;dr: 1st with background transitioning to the 2nd on scroll

Hey yep I agree with the rest. The first one is more clean and nice, but there is an issue with the contrast in the nav bar.
You can try many things, like add a background for the whole bar in shape of a pill, or add shadow in the text ettc
I think insted of the black blurred and low opacity black will be nicer
I will go with the first one
First one look great
