Need ideas for a collection of person profiles
So I'm on a cms driven site for b2b events like: https://preview.events.weka-fachmedien.de/medical-design-solution-day
And if you scroll down you can already see some cards (latest version will also be responsive and the name won't overlap the image anymore and hide some teeth).
However: I also somehow need to include a biography and thinking about a an alternative layout the content creators can choose from.
For these kind of cards a simple dialog / modal triggered by an "i" icon in a corner of a photo will probably do it (or any better suggestions?). But I'm also thinking of something more fancy. Like having just one big card shown at a time and people thumnails below it to choose from or so. The lists can go from only one person to like 20+ Maybe you have got some ideas or know a website for some inspirations ( thefwa did'nt help me 😦 ) Thx!

Do you mean thumbnails of other profiles or thumbnails of photos of the same person?
Other profiles - like thumbnails of an image gallery. But that's just an idea.
And one more question, what should be in the contact information field?
Which maybe becomes ugly if there are 5+ person in the collections
image, name, company, position (like senior designer, CTO or something), biography, email and phone. And all fields should be customable turn on and show or not.
Like this - but as I told, an alternative to these "0815" cards would be nice, as well
Just buttons for email and phone (phonenumber should be shown )
@Eighth we're basically replacing the old websites and have some "free hands" for design changes.

Hm, thanks - but the overlaying biography is the solution we currently have - and the content team doesn't like as it's too small by the width. Sorry I didn't tell you.
That's why I asked for some alternative card layout where you have just like 1 big card shown and somehow switch through the people. Or I don't know - something accordeon like - or ... phew - yea I've got no idea 😦 Simplest solution would be use these cards and open up a modal
You can simply make a model window that opens on the entire screen, and not inside the card, and an accordion is not necessarily needed here, you can make one grid of cards in the center, or a large grid with many cards, I made the card itself, but how to design their shape , that's another question.
Yes so, we had this solution with our cards like you did. Unfortunalety our IT doens't have a UX / UI designer. And I'm trying my best, although I'm kinda out of this for like 15 years and "just" do the coding for it / doing my best in designing. However: I like creating funny things which are challenging (I won a FWA award for an Audi cars advert some years ago). And was hoping somebody comes up with some existing examples on websites or having new ideas.
