Free DNS "Records with starting with '_' restricted

Hi, I am getting an error when trying to use an SRV records on FreeDNS. I have 2 minecraft servers, one on 192.146.198.247:25565, and the other on 192.146.198.247:25566. I am trying to make it so I can have 2 different DNS's For each of the servers. So one would be server1.example.com and the second would be server2.example.com. Is there anyway to achieve this in FreeDNS currently? Below is the error I am getting. Thanks if you can help! Creation of records beginning with '_' are presently restricted to the domain owner

Just use A records and set name as server1

Or just don't use a domain you don't actually own. If you can't afford the $5/yr for a domain, don't use a domain.

well I don't think that's fair to people who don't have that option have you tried using other records to point to the srv record?

5$ a year is small amount to pay

there are quite a few domain regristrars that offer the first year of a domain for a buck a year

To not use a solution you can't afford? Instead of a crappy free domain with arbitrary limitations that'll be randomly taken away from OP without warning?

I was thinking more in the category of minors who want to play with friends but have no online banking solutions y'know, like I was

then they dont need a domain

You don't need a domain for that. Shocker, you can run a server on your computer for free without one.

sure, but wasn't OP asking for domains

Which you don't need for a server with friends.

that's besides the point

No, that's THE ENTIRE point.

I must be missing something here because 1. OP is asking for a free dns solution 2. you're advising against the use of said free dns solution

Yes.

like completely understandable, but instead of providing something that the OP can use (a potential solution) you're just dismissing it

He's asking for help setting up something his free dns solution straight up doesn't support.

listen I'm not gonna insult your intelligence, you likely know infinitely more about this + have more experience Imma just leave it lol

The solution is to... Literally.. Not use one. They're cosmetic. It's like telling somebody to buy skins in league. They're cosmetic. Unnecessary. If you can't afford it. Don't buy it?

FreeDNS is a thing, he wasnt asking for a free dns solution but if there was a way to do it with "FreeDNS"

Not using DNS records on your "private for friends server" is better than using a domain registrar that provides arbitrary limits and will randomly take the domain away without warning.

Sorry, yes, that's what I meant I use it myself haha oh this is an awful analogy it's more like he's asking how to buy skins and you're telling him not to lol

OP is asking for the solution to a problem that can only be solved by using a paid domain. They are being told so. I don’t see the issue
