Last time I felt like I was in a rut I chopped the hems off a pair of jeans. Feeling like I might need to chop a pair of chinos soon

Sell stuff and buy new stuff honestly. Stagnation for me is usually because I’m tired of what I’m wearing. Would say it’s rare at this point because if I notice I am not loving something I list it

Take a break then come back with more found enthusiasm for new garms, styles, or experimenting more with what you already have.

the themed waywts and the fit battle have been great to put some more thought than usual in my outfits, and i've sort of kept going at them, like would try to unflip old bricks and stuff like that on the reg. also, i haven't participated much in other spotlight topics, but some comments have been super insightful and helpful like in a more general way. i feel this has also helped me get outside of my comfort zone

I tend to hold onto pieces that are sick even if I don't wear them or if they don't match my style, which contributes to stagnation. I also never get things tailored, so if something doesn't fit it collects dust in my closet. Knowing that something can be sick and also not for me has helped me let go of stuff I never wear, like my Story Mfg shirt (still up for sale if anyone wants it!). I've bought many pieces for only one reason (nice fabric, nice design, brand I like, etc.) - buying things that I like most if not all aspects of keeps them in my rotation much longer.
