are the sportjacket and pants too close in color (navy/darker gray)?
Pants I ordered for tomorrow came in via eBay today and the shade of grey is darker than I expected 😦
Is the shade of gray too close to the shade of navy?

Needs sunlight to see. Sometimes charcoal and dark navy are fine, other times too similar. Personally I'm leaning towards similar but I wanna see em in sunlight.
I think there’s enough contrast with the 2 fabrics side by side to avoid the Donald Trump moment.

i think they're a similar like, shade? darkness level? but the pants are clearly grey and the blazer is clearly blue so i wouldn't sweat it.

Thank you!! I didn't end up wearing it as it needed a hem anyway (I instead wore derbies, my camel relaxed fit chinos, my new candy stripe ocbd, and my Uniqlo navy cotton linen shacket which worked well for this event!). I'm going to assess tomorrow whether to keep these pants and post a pic
