Remix app tutorial example giving 522
Hello! I followed this tutorial: https://developers.cloudflare.com/pages/framework-guides/deploy-a-remix-site/
I am able to visit the app I created via the
my-remix-app.pages.dev link, but when I set up my custom domain, I get a 522 error. I have the following CNAME records added to my custom domain:
- CNAME | my-domain.com | my-remix-app.pages.dev
- CNAME | www | my-remix-app.pages.dev

Did you manually add the CNAMEs, or did you add the custom domains via the Custom Domains tab of Pages? https://developers.cloudflare.com/pages/platform/custom-domains/

When deploying your Pages project, you may wish to point custom domains (or subdomains) to your site.
I originally did it via the Custom Domains tab, but when that failed I created my own.
It needs to be via the Custom Domains tab. Creating them manually won't work. What issue did you have via the Custom Domains tab?
Okay, I cleared everything and re-created one record via the Custom Domains tab. When I try to visit my domain, I get Connection Timed out (522)
It'll take a second to verify. What do you see under the Custom Domains tab now? It should show the status next to it

hmm, I don't see anything immeditally wrong with it. I was just going through https://developers.cloudflare.com/pages/platform/debugging-pages/#missing-caa-records if you were curious, your CAA records are fine, and nothing blocking http validation.
If you go to your audit log (Manage Account -> Audit Log), and you search for your pages.dev (xxx.pages.dev) in the Domain, and click "Search", do you see something like "Pending to Blocked" or "Pending to Active".
Yes, I see "pending to blocked" followed by a "ordered", and "deployed"
Thanks, well we know the certificate is fine and deployed, it's just the Custom Hostname itself being blocked. What do you see if you expand the Pending to Blocked Event? (any zone ids/etc are fine to show, not secrets, just identifiers)

Thanks. My understanding is usually this means Trust and Safety has blocked your domain. Not necessarily due to anything you did, could be keywords, automatic stuff, etc. I'll ask someone from CF to Verify though. Cloudflare Pages doesn't do a great job of exposing these errors at the moment sadly

The hostname is part of a banned domain. This web property cannot be added to Cloudflare at this time. If you are an Enterprise customer, please contact your Customer Success Manager. Otherwise, please email [email protected] with the name of the web property and a detailed explanation of your association with this web property.To save you an email, it can also be due to billing issues, if you have any unpaid/overdue invoices with Cloudflare
