Google motion photos and apple live photos not being detected
Hi guys does the web UI a and iOS/Android apps have the capability to view motion photos and live photos? None of my motion photos seem to be detected

Despite the bug being closed I tried uploading a the sample motion photo from op to the demo immich server and the motion photo wasn't detected

Demo server was running v1.79.1 also
The sample photo that OP uploaded there won't work, as it was included directly into the comment, which causes github to reformat it and remove EXIF data.
Motion photos should work
I tried opening op's file using Google photos and found it detected while immich didn't (despite the reformat)
I also tried opening it using https://dj0001.github.io/Motion-Photo-Viewer/
Seems like we did have a regression here, should be fixed in the next release https://github.com/immich-app/immich/pull/4253

Looks like MediaGroupUUID got mapped to ContentIdentifier in an exiftool release.

This seemed to do the trick. One more question should I retranscode all videos to get the others to correct?
Rerunning metadata detection should do the trick IIRC
Correct, metadata is sufficient to fix broken stuff related to live photos.
one bug I noticed is in the android app immich seems to turbo through a live photo video (no issues on web)

Also to elaborate on web (I tested on firefox and chrome)
Looks like this issue is exclusive to the android app

Looks like it can't buffer/load the video before it is "done" and then ends or something like that. Maybe a @Mobile Expert can take a look.
