PP became one of my favourite casual go-to brands recently, so I decided to ask what you think of it.
To me, the pros are:
- Stunning designs which really stand out from a distance as well, not only up close;
- Great quality leather goods and accessories (especially zippers), and very nice shoes.
- Many styles are in "the spirit of time".
Cons:
- Overly expensive, new releases are often way more costly than what LV, Zilli, Kiton and other top brands make.
- Mediocre quality for T-shirts, and rhinestones tend to fall off even if dry cleaned/washed correctly.
- PP designs needs balancing elements from other brands, much like Gucci does. There is no really such thing as a PP capsule in most cases.

personally i don’t find the designs very interesting
sort of like a more expensive h and m
i can’t speak to the quality of anything though I don’t own any of it
i think at that price u can get a nice intersection of original design and quality and I think PP fails on at least one (if not both) of those fronts
Not many similar designs thoughs. Affliction is worse. Who else integrates skulls like this?
Also the more "long lasting" goods like jackets, shoes are of great quality, but things like jeans and shirts are, well, meh...
Alexander McQueen, perhaps?
Undercover has done some tasteful skull designs but that is pretty deep in the fashion rabbit hole.
Are you into the skull/bones motif @DarkSerenityX ?
Casually yes, but i dont like overly brutal biker themes. Its more of a flex than a statement
Gotchu
Hm, interesting, did not even consider them. I will have a look
I’ve always thought this bones sweater from Kapital was cool - curious to hear your thoughts (this is the back, the front is blank)
Very famous piece
McQueen does a lot of bone/skull themed accessories especially which I quite like.
Something that you can wear if you look like a hot "suburban dad". This is something Ryan Reynolds would wear imo
The sweater looks nice but i have no idea how to wear it
There’s also Amiri sneakers with skeletal designs quite regularly

Honestly u could just wear it with basic jeans
Checked it. Yeah cool. A bit too grunge and too much black for me. Amiri is better
Generally my personal rule of thunb

Is that if one piece is very loud, like a statement piece
the rest of the outfit should be p basic
Helps with the overall balance of the fit ykwim
It doesnt scream loud for me. This looks more like a bones variation of some classic norwegian/canadian sweater designs
And something a brand like Ralph Lauren could make on a strange day
Well then in theory that’d make it easier to style
that sweater with some dark jeans would look fantastic
OR with some white pants
I would go for an eclectic fit with that sweater. May be more classic beige/grey/olive green jeans like LP or BC make, some showy older France style boots by the likes of Rocco P, and a huge watch.
Alternatively, white jeans and alligator casual boots.
you're a wild man. I can't say I would be able to pull something like that off
I know you got some crazy watches, I'd love to see some of them in #Watches
i’d love to see you try some stuff from more niche brands - kapital has some stuff I’d bet you would love
Maybe Undercover? they have some cool graphic tees
Gotta look for a pic
Sent a pic
I will have a look and report back
Its not for everyone and not everyone will like something as complex

PP is incredibly maximalist in a time when most brands are going the other way. If it's totally your thing fair enough, but its swimming very much against general trends
I've heard of PP a lot but I've never once looked at any of the catalogues. They totally do remind me of the Affliction and Ed Hardy and the early 2000s associations with those brands. Very interesting.
Multiply the price of those brands by ten though
They have lots of sales too though
