cant use systemctl.
when running systemctl, it says "system has not been booted with systemd as init system (PID1). cant operate. failed to connect to bus: host is down". i want to use this as a lot of ubuntu services use systemctl to control them. is there a way to fix this?

There's no issue
It's stated that proot doesn't support systemd
The error is telling you that you don't have systemd installed
If you were to install systemd, it wouldn't work.
You can't use anything that needs systemd
one workaround:
apt install systemctl
(will uninstall packages that need systemd)?
How would installing systemctl Uninstall packages
last time I installed systemctl (and not systemd) it removed like I think Firefox but not firefox-esr and idk I forgot
