Hey Dev community π
We wanted to give an early heads up of the next Flow Mainnet Spork. This will be formally announced and locked in next Wednesday, so it is subject to change. The Spork is on 1st Novemember, at 8am PT.
Mainnet will be down for at least 2-3 hours due to this Spork. However, it's going to be different to previous Sporks. The network will be up and respond to all API except SendTransation for the duration of the Spork. What this means is...
β
You can execute scripts like normal
β
Query the blockchain for blocks, transactions, collections, etc. like normal
β Cannot send transactions
Once the Spork is complete, the network will again start accepting transactions. As this is a different approach to what we've seen previously, please let us know any questions or issues.
Thank you!

I canβt say for sure either way at the moment. I think for longer sporks (over 30 minutes) it makes sense to expect it though
