Thoughts on what color pants would go with this?
Recently came into a grey jacket from a friend and was wondering what I could pair with it. Not looking to go crazy, just an outfit I could wear to a nice restaurant. Maybe grey or charcoal slacks and brown boots? Or better off going with something lighter, like khaki chinos?

To me it looks like it's a suit jacket rather than a sport coat meant to be worn by itself, but because of the pattern I think you can get away with it. I'd try navy, charcoal or brown wool pants.
That’s what I figured, but since it is patterned (and I don’t have the pants that may have come with it originally), I’m looking for a way to keep it from the landfill. What about a lighter grey pants instead of charcoal? I have both colors, but am still learning what can go with what. My guess is to keep the contrast high so it doesn’t look like a mismatched suit?
