Dress shirt as over shirt?
As I was cleaning out my closet I came across a dress shirt I got as a gift a few Christmases back which I had never used because it was sized too large. However, I feel guilty about donating it or throwing it away because it’s a really nice quality, so I was wondering if I could get it to work with an outfit somehow. Does anyone have experience trying this? Pic as an example (pay no attention to the buttons still attached to my pants; I was trying stuff on!). It doesn’t really show in the photos but the stripes are a darkish green.
Maybe if I unbuttoned and rolled the sleeves up my forearm?

i like it, try it with a white tank or tee underneath
That shirt? Absolutely

Not quite a dress shirt but this is me doing something pretty similar
Can be done, absolutely, depending on your definition of "dress" shirt. Let me say it this way: a button-front collared shirt can be an overshirt just fine. A dress shirt by strict definition, not so much.
