Hi all may I ask if Email Routing now

Hi all, may I ask if Email Routing now supports sending emails? If still not, what are you guys using to send emails? I'm not too keen on continuing to use Apple as my email service provider and I'm currently looking for a suitable alternative. Any information would be very appreciated.

Personally, Fastmail. If you're just looking for recommendations, Fastmail, ProtonMail, or if you're looking for something free with a custom domain, potentially ZohoMail. There's also the more corporate offerings like Workspace or 365, if you need more features then just personal mail, Google Workspace is handy and can be used with oauth, etc. Otherwise, as DarkDevil said, what are your requirements?

I'd +1 Fastmail, I switched from Google Workspace just because Fastmail is cheaper and I wasn't really getting anything more on Google by paying more. Word of warning: if you sign up for Google Workspace and convert an existing personal account you can't go back, I had to start fresh on a new account. And if you unsubscribe from Workspace it disabled all Google services (including free things like Google Translate or even the GCP dashboard)

Thanks, much appreciated! My requirements are accessibility and prefix names. Firstly, the biggest issue with self-hosted services is accessibility, as they are often treated as spam by most email service providers. Regarding the second point, I would like to be able to use various prefix names without restrictions as much as possible, but currently Apple only allows me to use 3 prefix names, which is very inconvenient.
