@Abhimanyu Aryan π§ You should still be able to install the modular tool on ARM although ARM systems cannot install the mojo compiler. Your issue is likey because your not on Ubuntu 20.04 - 22.04 LTS.
Debian is also not supported yet although people have gotten it to work on
x86_64
systems I believe. If you have an x86_64
system you can have a look at the github issues relating to debian. See installation guide on https://developer.modular.com/download for ARM system installations
Important: ARM support is not available yet. See https://docs.modular.com/mojo/manual/get-started/index.htmlModular: AI development starts here

Get the Mojo SDK or try coding in the Mojo Playground.
Can I install Mojo on 22.04 ARM server?
I have that in VMWare Fusion
No not directly on your
ARM
based system. It needs to be x86_64
at the moment. There are ways to using github codespaces to get it to work. Have a look at https://developer.modular.com/download for installation on your ARM Machine.
Modular devs are working on ARM
support for Native and Virtual Machines. Should be available in a few weeks.Modular: AI development starts here

@Abhimanyu Aryan π§ have a geez at this video from the modular team. Should be helpful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knGTSXe7ytI&t=31s

@Abhimanyu Aryan π§ Just to make it clear, VMs are a no-go at the moment for ARM Based systems. For example if your laptop is ARM CPU based, it wont work even if you have a x86_64 VM. Devs are working on that
I am working with ARM(Macbook M1) machine with VMWare fusion on top of it and running Ubuntu 22.04 LTS Arm Ubuntu server inside the VM
Yeah unfortuantely it wont work, You can upvote this ticket if you have a ARM mac (https://github.com/modularml/mojo/issues/510) or search for a request on github for ARM based system support. If there isnt any that fits your setup, feel free to create a feature request in the github issues.

Review Mojo's priorities I have read the roadmap and priorities and I believe this request falls within the priorities. What is your request? Tracking issue for supporting Mojo on macOS. Please...
u can deploy on local docker container with arm base i believe. or ec2 it.
when you say local docker container. You mean on arm macos or linux?
i am on m1 pro 14 8,8 config.
When you say m1 pro, are you referring to macOS running Docker or macOS running a Linux virtual machine running Docker? I apologize if my question is not clear.
Thanks I'll go through this
Congrats @Abhimanyu Aryan π§, you just advanced to level 1!
