I can also provide the full journal file if you like.
well we need to find that error you mentioned
let me search for it in vscode, save you the headache
Guess it's good that I broke a bullet-proof install haha. Now we'll know why it failed (eventually).
(I was going to upload the journal file here but it was too big, I can search through it too. It crashed the vscode flatpak though >.<)
Once I click confirm, it proceeds with the
just update
script, I'm capturing output of that too.
oh, I didn't know you were on bazzite
this might need a check from the updater team
I tried to rebase to bluefin too. Guess what happened. Lol
Now we wait
hit escape
what error do you see
there
Two more minutes on that clock.
that last service
what does the log about that service say
I can check once this times out and reboots
But it's ostree finalize staged.service
have you seen that error this entire time?
I hadn't, because I didn't think to hit ESC facepalm
It just bumped the counter up to 21 mins
what are you doing?
it's not going to finish you need to get the log from that service
It did actually move on
I'm watching to see what it does
okay, so based on the output it was having trouble unmounting drives, and it looks like Steam was tying one of them up.
I was able log back in, and I'm playing a hunch.
Looks like my hunch was correct. I deleted the bazzite-arch distrobox, unmounted external storage, and was able to rebase to Bluefin.
It looked like steam was trying to access the drives, and rpm-ostree was trying to unmount them. And it was a standoff.
I wonder if there's a way to mount the drives in a way that won't get in the way next time?
