I am trying to avoid new balance shoes
And I want shoes that will go with almost any casual/everyday outfit such as
Standard recs here are Converse Chuck Taylor and Adidas Stan Smiths
Vans era are also very cheap and go well with most casual outfits. Otherwise I'd highly recommend buying secondhand.

when you search you can just add "wide" to the name and you should find wide sizes

chuck taylors have weird sizing and are a full size bigger than regular shoes

I have wide feet too and wear size 11 for my new balances but wear size 10 for converse chuck taylors. they always fit big
I usually wear 10.5 in sneakers, but 9 in Converse. My official Brannock size is 9.25C
As a wide footed person pf flyers have a very similar aesthetic to converse and they run a little wider
