I realized that my spirit animal is an oil spill so I started dressing in all black
even crazier is the material, while it’s not actually perforated, it feels like an athletic mesh. it’s so weird. I’m excited to play with it this fall.
Actually, now that I think about it, the ghost of that vest is still inspiring me. It was threaded with metal fibers so that it shimmered in the light - I now own a black lemaire windbreaker that also shimmers due to its metal content
The color scheme of the CF vest was also just a bit too hard to work with. It reads as yellow in pics but the green in the pattern is actually more prominent IRL, making it hard to build around
I'd say probably this 4S shirt that I love, though honestly I have a bunch of loud pieces that could slot in here (other options would include my 18east jacket, South2 West8 fatigues, or Supreme shirt)
I have a fur coat being delivered today so that will probably win, but in the meantime i think this puffer from Rains might be my silliest. Its super warm and waterproof but also doesn't close in the front (it was a runway concept piece that they sold a few of) and its got a soft iridescence to it thats hard to describe but it reflects light really beautifully around it. Kind of a velvet vibe without being velvet, and the collar is slightly more intense about it than the rest of the coat. It's so big it gets obtrusive to wear in the subway, but also i just fucking love it and I have enough other coats I don't need this one to be practical
The sleeves actually also open at the elbow but I sewed them shut cause they were annoying

I don't have many wild pieces but the loudest I have is probably this fishy Nigel Cabourn overshirt with "cape" at the back. It's too dark now to take a decent fit pic but I'll post a waywt with it sometime when temperatures drop around here.
Hmm maybe the Kapital feather denim jacket. It was the first Kapital piece I ever got.
Honorable mention to the giant Sillage shirt with the chainstitch run off but I never really wear it.

These 2 are some exceptionally weird niche pieces. The silk gladiator vest is a womenswear piece that I thought was interesting, I’ve styled it before but it’s a hard piece to match the context. I liked the print of the vest but the shape is kinda bricked.
