Are these other “cheap” suits worth looking into?
When we talk about entry level suits it’s always Spier and McKay, Suitsupply, J. Crew. But recently a bunch of random new brands have dipped their toes into suiting, like
* Wax London https://waxlondon.com/collections/suits
* Percival https://www.percivalclo.com/collections/suits
* Alex Mill https://www.alexmill.com/collections/suiting-mens
Obviously these are casual suits but I’m just still… confused by them. Are they worth looking into or all probably worse and more expensive than Spier and McKay?

These are very different suits to the canvased worsted wool suits people recommend spier for. They're not really comparable in construction or use case.
I guess I’m wondering what is the right usecase for these?
Most the weddings I go to don't call for a traditional suit, but these kinds of suits work well. My workplace has a very casual dress code and I can wear these over a more "business suit".
I still have a more traditional suit for interviews or court appearances or some funerals etc.
Yeah these are good for "casual formal events". A date, dressing up for a nice meal, art gallery visit, etc.
Maybe a business casual job
End of the day you can skip them. But if you're into fashion and go to "creative-ish" events they can be handy
