How do I style this Patagonia mustard yellow down coat?
As the title says; I got this coat two years ago, and it is my absolute staple to wear every winter. However, I don't know what matches well with it, since I've heard that yellow during the winter is an odd choice

I usually wear a button up shirt and chinos during the winter
I love the coat, I got it to keep me dry and warm and it does so, and I want to maximize my look with it
yeah that's super inoffensive, absolutely nothing wrong with that
think it'd be rad over a cream aran sweater

You can wear quite a lot with this jacket but I personally would suggest you to keep it simple, unless you want to stand out. For pants you can basically wear anything. You can use chinos, cargos, suit pants or just a plain simple pair of jeans. It mostly depends on the color that you're wearing. The best colors to combine with Yellow are white, black, beige, cream, grey, brown, navy blue and also orange, purple, red.
I personally would just wear it with a rather loose beige chinos and a cream shirt or either a t-shirt and some all white sneakers.
i have a very similar jacket and in the winter my usual with it is a white/cream/oatmeal sweater and light or dark wash jeans.
